Jack in the Box

I have a Jack-in-the-box.

Not the toy you may think of,

but a Jack, in a box!

(Yes, a human.)

I have a Jack-in-the-box.

My own personal slave.

He does everything I want.

(If not, a whip comes to his buttox!)

I have a Jack-in-a-box.

and a Mary-in-the-box,

and a Joe-in-the-box.

But Jack is my favourite.

(Why? because the way he cowers in fear is so cute!)

I have a Jack-in-the-box.

I saw him kissing Mary-in-the-box.

So I did away with Mary-in-the-box.

(No one is allowed to love Jack-in-the-box!)

I have a Jack-in-the-box.

He is mad at me for killing Mary.

But I don’t mind one bit.

(His angry face is so adorable!)

I have a Jack-in-the-box.

He grudgingly does my commands.

I give him a warning about his attitude

and reminds him he could turn out like Mary.

(The tea Jack brews is so yummy!)

I have a Jack-in-the-box.

He looks like he’s plotting something.

But I don’t worry.

(He knows I’m his master!)

I have a Jack-in-the-box.

He gives me my tea with a smile.

As I sip it, he mutters

“I have a surprise for you.”

A sharp pain came to my chest.

Before I knew it, I couldn’t breathe.

The last thing I saw

was my tea getting dyed blood red.

(Oh, Jack…)

I have a Jack-in-the-box.

I assume he ran off with Joe.

I will miss

My Jack-in-the-box forever.
